AFL Match against Tusser Ranger FC

Finally after 3 weeks of cancelling of matches, we are playing against Tusser Ranger FC for the 1st AFL game. We went into the game with high confidence and morale. In the opening exchanges, we had the upper hand, with Ruiqiang and Akram having chances to take the lead, but were all saved by their keeper, Desmond. Tusser Ranger created a few chances but could not scored as our new backline stand tall. At the half-hour mark, Ruiqiang holded the long punt from Haikal and he pasted to Akram and he released Weida down the left flank. He dribbled past 2 defenders before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper for the Hornets to take a 1-0 lead.
With this goal, our morale was even higher and we continued to attack them with our fast pace game. Tusser Ranger had a few chances but were well saved by Haikal or denied by our defense. The match went into halftime with the score 1-0 to Hornet's favour.
The 2nd half saw Amin replacing Ruiqiang to lead the attack. 2 minutes after the restart, Amin was sent through down the centre and he was in a 1-1 situation with the keeper, but a defender managed to clear the ball when Amin was about to pull the trigger. From the resultant corner, Hazmi was there to volley the ball into the net. 2-0. Hornet FC was controlling the game well and Tusser Ranger could not get past our defense. Ruiqiang came on again to the game, and he had few chances to add to the scoreline but he could not take his chances. with 3 minutes left on the clock, Mirza, our leftback was given his 2nd yellow card and was given his marching order. From the resultant free-kick, Tusser Ranger managed to pull a goal back. Though conceding the goal, we were determined not to lose the game. We continued to attack and not lose the possession of the ball. We managed to maintain the 1 goal lead till the final whistle.
