After last week victory over Tusser Ranger FC, we were determined to continue our form. We went into this match confidently as we had beaten them 3-2 last season. We started the match brightly and took things in our control. In the 10th minute, Weiqiang flipped the ball over the keeper and slotted the ball into the net but the referee decided that Weiqiang had lifted his leg too high and thus the goal was disallowed. But we did not let that affect us and we continued to play our game. Weiqiang was being fouled in the 15th minute, and Hazmi converted the free kick from 30 yards and Hornet FC was 1-0 up. With 1 goal up, Hornet's played with more confident and in the 20th minute, Hornet FC took a 2-0 lead. Ruiqiang fighted off a defender's challenge and before releasing the ball to Weiqiang. Weiqiang charged into the box before crossing to the far post for Khairul to score from close range. Mean Machines FC did not let the setbacks get into them and continued to attack us but they were stopped by our defense or our in-form goalkeeper, Haikal. We managed to hold on to the 2-0 lead into the 2nd half.

In the 2nd half, we continued to play attacking football, but a poor referee's decision led to us conceding a goal and had Zaini sent off. In the 65th minutes, the ball went over the sidelines and while Arzme and Wan thought it was a throw in to us, the Mean Machines player sweep the ball up front, and to our shock, the referee allowed play to continue. Their striker took a shot that when past Haikal, and in a deperate clearance, Zaini used his hand to "save" the ball. He was being red-carded and Mean Machines FC was awarded a penalty. Their striker slotted the ball in calmly. With this goal, Mean Machines had a chance to fight back and they attacked us with rains of shots. With 1 man down, we struggled to hold onto the lead. Mean Machines FC managed to got their equalizer. However, we did not gave up fighting and we wanted to win the match. We created alot of chances too. In the 88th minutes, Ruiqiang won a free-kick on the right midfield and up stepped Hazmi again. His shot hit the cross bar and Weiqiang was there to score the rebound. 3-2 and wild celebration by Hornet FC. We fought hard in the last 5 minutes, and we created alot more chances while holding on to the attacks from Mean Machines FC. Final whislte, 3-2 to Hornet FC.

After Match Thoughts: Well done guys for another great match. Too bad was that in 2 matches, we had 2 players sent off. No more red card in our future matches as you can see, for both matches, after we got player sent off, we started conceding. So, guys, let work hard and fight hard together while maintaining 11 players on the field.
