Today, our turnout for the match was poor with only 12 players attending the match. AC United is a good team and at the start of the match, they took control of most of the match. We fought hard and managed to pin them back in their half with our usual fast paced game. In the 10th minute, Ruiqiang almost took the lead for Hornet FC after he rounded the goalkeeper, but a defender managed to rush in in time to clear the ball off the line. 5 minutes later, a great cross by Weiqiang found Yusrizal lanking in the box and he sent a half volley into the net. AC United upped the attack after this setback, and within 5 minutes, they found the equalizer through a corner. In the 38th minute, a clash between AC United striker and Boon Chen saw the latter injuring his eye. Boon Chen had to be replaced by Amin. AC United kept attacking but found Razali unbeatable. Razali had an outstanding performance today as you can see him everywhere in the defense line.

In the 2nd half, Seow Chuan had several chances but failed to convert them, or was saved by the goalkeeper. Ruiqiang, Weiqiang and Kenny all pushed forward but could not break down their defense too. In the 52nd minute, AC United scored a beautiful lob over Amin to make it 2-1. Hornet FC started to push even further up in search of the equalizer but this caused the defense to be weakened and AC United scored another goal in the 60th minute. Hornet FC attacked desperately and it was all Hornet FC’s attack in the last 30 minutes. Hornet FC scored a free kick by Razali in the 65th minute and we kept throwing players up but in the end, no goals were scored. A great game played by both team.

After match thoughts: We were unlucky to lose Boon Chen so early in the game, and without Amin in defense, we had some difficulties dealing with their attack. A great game for Razali in defense. Keep up the good work.
