It was an entertaining match with lots of goals between Hornet FC and Destaportivo. A great comeback by Destaportivo deprived Hornet FC from their 1st 3 points of the season.

Hornet FC drew 1st blood when Binnson, who was playing his 1st match for Hornet FC, scored a brilliant free kick in the 3rd min of the match. Ruiqiang added to the lead 4 minutes later with a header. Destaportivo reduced the lead in the 12th minute to make it 2-1. Caiyuan, Weiqiang and Ruiqiang had chances to extend the lead further but poor finishings had let them down until in the 32nd minute when Binnson sent a greatly taken volley into the goal to allow Hornet FC to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.

Destaportivo came out of the 2nd half fighting hard to reduce the lead. But it was Hornet FC who scored again in the 50th minute when Chuan Seng's cross from the midfield went into goal to make it 4-1. Ruiqiang and Weiqiang made way for Seow Chuan and Adrian. Both had chances to extend the lead. Destaportivo continued to fight hard and their great comeback started in the 71st minute when defense lapses allowed their striker to volley in a goal. 2 minutes later, an indirect freekick was given inside the box against Hornet FC for time wasting and Destaportivo scored to make it 4-3. Sensing danger, Ruiqiang and Weiqiang came back into the match. In the 77th minute, Destaportivo made it 4-4 when their midfielder scored from a tight angle. 3 minutes later, a brilliant cross by Ruiqiang was met by Weiqiang and he sent a header past the goalkeeper. Hornet FC celebrated wildly but the celebration was short lived when Destaportivo scored straight from the restart. Both teams fought hard to get the winning goal. Binnson had a freekick that strike the post and another freekick that went slightly over. It was a great match as both teams showed great sportsmanship and fighting spirit to get the win. No card was given to either team. Well done.

After match thought: We conceded goals too softly in the last 20 minutes of the game and we must trained up our stamina to last full 90 minutes. We took things too easy when we were leading 4-1 which lead to their comeback. Match are played 90 minutes, so full concentration are needed.
